. . . they were all on winders, ready for wear at a moment's notice. The Karree that's pictured in this thread was running continuously for over three years, and then, it "froze", and had to be sent in for service.
Shortly after it returned from Glashütte, I visited NYC and met up with several Purists, including ei8htohms, where I relayed the story about finding my Karree in need of ostensibly premature service. Ei8htohms told me in the nicest way possible that I was an idiot for keeping my perpetuals running for no purpose other than convenience, and I've kept them off ever since.
