Let me first begin by saying it was a lot of fun and an honor to host this week's theme. I would like to thank everyone who participated in sharing their other passions besides watches which we all share.
I am in charge of judging Watch of The Week and it honestly took me a few hours of shuffling back and forth as there were so many great entries. In the end I had to cheat but I don't care as I am judge and jury this weekend LOL π€£π€£
Mike brought too many heavy hitters and would have taken the podium by himself so I was forced to make 2 diferent categories: Mike H. and everyone else LOL π€£ππ€ͺ. Don't kill me, I am trying my best π€¦ββοΈ
Let's start off with Mike's amazing entries of heavy hitters.
Honorable mention goes to the amazing blue dial Voutilainen
3rd place goes to the 5070G. I love this photo for the color tone and matching MB pen in what appears to be sterling silver.
2nd place goes to the beautiful vintage VC (pagoda style, sorry I don't know the reference off the top of my head). The curves of that case are uber sexy π₯
1st place goes to the stunningly gorgeous VC Mercator alongside the same MB sterling silver pen and a pair of vintage Omega movements turned into cufflinks. This photo should be published in magazines, online, etc...just beautiful π₯ππ₯ππͺ
Now for everyone else LOL π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€ͺπ
3 honorable mentions go out to:
FRAMII for his awesome PP 5131P. Love the MB SLS in the background for full effect.
mrds - Daniel for the Corne de Vache among his chef's knives. The B&W photo is superb.
And Nico for 2 of my favorite watches from any manufacturer, both JLCs, a Duometre Chronograph in WG and an Extreme Lab 2 in Ti. It hurt me to exclude these 2 from the podium but I had to do it and hope you understand why π€·ββοΈ.
Now that leaves us with the top 3 this week. Drove me crazy choosing but here I go.
3rd place goes to Watchonthewrist for his Corum Rolls Royce watch. It might not be for everyone but I respect a person for wearing what they want and it takes brass balls to buy a watch to match your Rolls Royce π€£ππ€ͺ
2ns place goes to Seeks for his new Omega Speedmaster Ed White 321. I might be biased here as I am a BIG Speedmaster fan and we fans have been waiting for a modern Speedmaster with a caliber 321 (Lemania 2310) for several decades so it deserves it's place on the podium, even among giants in the watch world. Just look at it, what a beauty.
And now for our winner. Well deserved IMHO and a well captured photo with a lot of sentiment behind it. We have Daniel with his VC Twin Beat Perpetual on top of what looks like some fine lingerie π. Nice touch with the matching red stitch on the strap π
Thanks again to everyone who participated and congrats to our winners π π ππ
