Message to all: I sincerely hope ...
I sincerely hope that no one is 'put off' by the process of choosing the weekly masthead image. It was never meant to be a competition, rather the motivation was to get all of us more involved in the WristScan Forum. It seemed like a place we all loved to visit on 'Friday', but it became a bit of a wasteland at other times. The voting extends the interest over to Tuesday and before you know it, it's time to post an image again! The secondary benefit was that it took the responsibility for choosing the masthead solely off Art's shoulders.
I am happy if people are trying even harder to show their watches in the best 'light' (I certainly am), but if purists are discouraged from sharing their watches or there is any hint that this is becoming a serious competition then we should rethink the whole process. A vote by Purists may be reasonable. Perhaps we could let a 'guest' moderator choose the masthead.

I do hope people take the weekly masthead poll for what it was intended to be -- a fun way to build community. If we get great pictures out of the exercise, then awesome; but the most important thing is that people "show up" to play and have FUN. Cheers, ...

I'm continuing to work on my wrist shots, and find that although I'm improving slowly, everyone else seems to be advancing more rapidly! It's a lot of fun to see how the photos are improving now that a bit more of the empahsis is on the photo than on the ...
I always find good photos...
