As announced on Wednesday, the theme for this monthβs WS will be chronographs. It is still a super popular complication amongst many of us, even if many (if we are being honest) use it more to experience the pusher feel than to actually time something in ...
One with a very unique operating mechanismβ¦ The largest I have at 51mm with a fully revolving caseβ¦ One with a strap especially for Abel ππ¦π· One that we know well here ππ»π A bit of vintage goodness ππ» And another watch well known here that comes closest t...
β¦ your starting post!! As usual you share some great watches and sporting awesome straps. Of course I specially love the Argentinian straps!! Thank you!! Now choosing a watch from your choices today is more difficult. The unique JLC system of operation ma...
Seiko used to have a knack of making massive watches very wearable. Had some friends with slender wrists try the 47mm Landmaster the other day and they were all surprised at how well it fit ππ¦Ύ
... and not only case size but lugs and caseback design and our wrist shape to see if a given watch looks good or not to our eyes when strapped on our own wrists. ThatΒ΄s a stunning and interesting watch for sure. Keep enjoying your so much! Hagwe, Abel
And here many brands with their availability squeeze are definitely missing a trick if getting a fully satisfied customer the first time around ππ»
We share our affection for the JLC Amvox Chrono with that unique operation mechanism, and also the Zenith P-15, as well as the St Gallen βnon-Chronoβ- Chrono type.. Also I enjoyed your Moon-Swatch Speedmaster with your nifty choice of the strap and your c...
While many more have been finally made than initially promised to by are truly astounding in terms of design and finishing. Would definitely like to add one with a 13.21 movement one day (my hand is too puny for the larger ones π€·π»ββοΈ)π€π»
Iβd love to add one at some stage - but have yet to find a modern dial that draws me in, apart from some of the limited edition recent releases that are hard to source.
I have a 17.2cm wrist - with a flat top which makes larger wears more accessible. Largest in my collection is my Zeitwerk Striking Time at 44mm in WG which wears quite comfortably - but with relatively short lugs.
Zenith Defy 21 Vacheron Cornes de Vache Patek Speedy β57 Moonwatch JLC Duometre FPJ Rattrapante Navitimer 1959 Datograph Daytona And one more CDV π€£ ...
Some truly astounding pieces you show and itβs hard to choose only one π Although I have to say your CdV shot with the hat is an all time classic and always a top contender for top spots ππ»ππ»ππ»
The issue is the column wheel cap which takes up a large amount of real estate on the caseback and its polished surface is quite a distraction. The CDV movement is prettier - but they both come a distance 2nd and 3rd to the Datograph.
I have a fairly large number of watches so donβt tend to wear any one for more than a day or so. Ironically the only one to exhibit rate issues was the Datograph - which had become massively magnetized for some reason. The balance wheel was banking and th...
Iβm no fanboy either - I try to find the positives in all brands - although some are easier than others π€£. As far as FPJ goes Iβm off the beaten track with this Linesport Rattrapante, a Havana RG Chronometre Souverain and a platinum Quantieme Perpetuel. I...
And for me the VC CdV gets the nod, (cool Hat shot) with lots of pleasure for the A. Lange Flyback Datograph and the Patek (5172).. HAGWE & Best, ππ
Now that is not something one sees everyday ππ»ππ» Really like the use of the quartz movement to make unusual design choices and itβs a cool piece overall πππ»
The dial / sweater combination is sublime πππ And the Alpine Eagle is surely a proud specimen of the genre. As for the next ones, something concrete planned? π
π PP 5172G - my latest arrival Really love that Chrono - A very fine watch, IMHO - Not more, no less.. Daily beater.. Daytona 116500 LN One of my outdoors favs of mine And here an attractive Vintage - the JLC βSharkβ, E 2643 (Worldtime bezel variant) One ...
Understatement of the year π Another amazing chrono collection you show here, dear HS111! The 5172 is clearly a dear recent addition, the Daytona a staple and the vintage choices varied and truly superb! Wasnβt aware that the Shark and Type XX shared a ca...
I love this version of the JLC Duometre and the 5172G is a modern classic. Iβm glad you have the modern Daytona down as a daily beater as I think it fits this role well. Personally Iβm more drawn to older models - such as the 6263 - not that I have oneπ€£ ...
If I where pressed... well really pressed I would say your awesome JLC Duometre. But would hate myself for not having choosen your old Breguet... or your 5172 Patek. Lol! Big congrats on your recent arrival from Patek and I wish youΒ΄ll enjoy and love it s...
With the P15 π Great selection of chronos and especially like the detailed shots of the Kurono and Nivada, showing some less frequently captured aspects of the two watches ππ»ππ»
As I said before chronograph is my favorite complication and as a matter of fact chronos make for a big percentage of watches in my collection. Itβs true that I donβt use them for any serious time lapse control: e.g. timing car or horse racing, timing wor...
And some amazing entries (have to be, when the CdV is forgotten and only mentioned as a PS πππ»). The Flightmaster is one of my favorites, too and would love to add one someday - any watch with a DC-8 is cool to me πβοΈ The P15 we both appreciate (as do man...

Not sure those early examples can be sourced for anything like an acceptable price π€·π»ββοΈ The disadvantage of a late birth I guess π Thanks again for all the additional details ππ»
β¦ and released just a few years ago and faithful to the Pre Vendome one I show. Guess it is possible to find a almost unused one still today. A good choice for a Panerai chrono with a βsmallβ size!! Best, Abel
Your flightmaster is a really eclectic choice, quite colorful indeed !.. Specially also liked your pre-Daytone 6239. Also the hilarious Astronaut Speedmaster from 1969, well chosen, such as another colorful LC Chrono with the fusèe dial. My personal favs a...
The gold Astronauts Speedy is a watch I love so much though I canΒ΄t wear it often considering the present unsafe conditions in my Country regret to say. IΒ΄m sure that the VC CdeV would be a wonderful addition to your already magnificent collection and tha...
Hello my dear friend, I love each and every one of your choices. The Pre-Daytona and Speedmaster Ref 145.022-69 really hit the spot. Best regards Captain
You mention my two big favorites here! I didnβt share my Moonshine which you know is another Big Love of mine. Letβs enjoy our chronos dear Captain!! Cheers! Abel
On offer with it not being a favorite complication speaks of the astounding collection you have! And the salmon dials are all truly tasty πππ»ππ»

Specifically liked the shot with the Vintage dial and the Astronaut in the background and your apparently rather recent arrival of the all White ! ππ»ππ» HAGWE and Best, ππ
A spectacular array of Speedmasters, whether itβs the Apollo Soyuz or the recently reissued 321 - thanks for adding these, Speedies so far have been a little bit less present than expected ππ»ππ»
β¦ new arrival of the βWhiteβ Speedy!! What a great new version! I loved it at first sight and Iβm eagerly waiting for mine. Considering the present conditions of my Country I guess I need to be patient and wait for a few more months. As you know Iβm a fan...

Hello again KM and friends, I wanted to share just a few more Chronographs with dials that are made by masters of the dial making art. The family business was crafting dials before the Patek Philippe business as we know it today. The results are in my opi...
