Going Dutch
Jan 05, 2019,03:49 AM
Towards the end of 2018, I took a fairly big step into indie horology, and acquired this 1941 Remontoire.
I guess it was a new horizon for me - I had never bought a Dutch watch before, and while I had dipped my toes into indies with a Habring Erwin and a Chronometre Bleu, this was quite different, and at a rather different price point for me!
My thoughts about it? It's been 2 months, and I love the watch so much. The guilloche is just amazing, and the movement finishing makes me smile in happiness and wonder. The unusual flowing lines of the case and lugs also makes me want to caress it. The blue strap matches the blued hands perfectly, and I am just over the moon with this one.
New horizons are good to explore!
