Announcing Theme for WS edition of next Friday, February 12th ... "Defining Keeper for Life"
Feb 10, 2021,09:07 AM
Hello dear friends!
I´ll have the pleasure of hosting next Friday edition of our WS classic.
Many times we have read or heard the expression "this is a keeper for life" referring to an special watch in our collections.
A Keeper for Life Watch could be considered as that for many special reasons: it was bought to mark an special date or celebration or a personal achievement, it was inherited from our Dad or Granddad, a gift from our wife or from a cherished friend, etc. etc. I guess every one has its own definition and thoughts of what makes a timepiece a keeper for life and I wish we could share them here.
Whichever the reason a Keeper for Life has a very special meaning for the owner and provokes thoughts and memories every time we wear them. I´m inviting our members to share those special watches deserving the title of Keeper for Life and to tell us their definitions of this title.
I wish we will receive many awesome shots and thoughts through the week end and please remember that as usual participants may send wrist shots or static shots to compete in any or all of our categories to be judged:
Best Wrist Shot
Best Static Shot
Best Watch of the Week to be chosen among the pictures of all watches submitted for this contest.
Please wait for my Opening Post next Friday morning to start posting your entries!
Best cordial regards, Abel.
PS: Here a shoot of one of my Keepers for Life: I call it my "Friendship Flightmaster" which always reminds me that both friendship and passion transcends frontiers and distances. (Both Art and me have told its story before).
Will post more of my Keepers on my opening post next Friday!
Best cordial regards, Abel
