the credit for the watch and flower shot goes to my wife and my kids! I asked them to take a nice photo while I was riding my moutainbike . But they will be happy you also like the photo like I do. The lovely wristshot is all mine, though , erm, erm. But ... 

And a very nice watch! I salute you in your decision not to revamp the dial. Especially in a watch with so much family history, the patina becomes part of that story in my opinion. Long live sentimental value! nikolaj

Found out that they are 44mm dia, which essentially means that the watch will radiate as a corona around my entire body... Still love the looks and style of this work of art.

a cheap Sea-gull 1963 military re edition chrono with display back. old pics. i havent been wearing my RT cricket nautical, but its been on my bedside table and wound every night. i've used the alarm every morning and it is enough to wake the dead. i must...

i do have a pic of the movement and the display back. it came with the military re issue stuff on the back, but i've since removed that to make it a plain display back. no pic of that i'm afraid. here you go....

its a pretty historic piece with a great movement so was on my list for a while. i was just lucky that mine came with a date mark stamped in caseback as dating them can be a nightmare and i'm a bit particular about the date. mines been refinished, but so ...

classic yet modern design. It is not too difficult to find a Polerouter in outstanding condition at a reasonable price. This example is in 18K Rose Gold and is almost like new. Another view to entice you even more.... Another... Just put it on your list--...

about 1980, the first watch I really liked and wanted. This is from the time Movado and Zenith "merged" and is called Movado by Zenith. It has a Zenith 1740 caliber hand wound movement and both names on the dial. Have fun this weekend and I hope it is coo...

Graham and Filip, To answer your question, Filip, it is platinum. Now Graham, as you know I retired where I wore a dress watch every day under a cuff with a suit. Of course, now I do not and this Rolex gets very little wrist time and I tend to wear my Jae...
