While I have been wearing the Minerva TDMC continuously for the last 3 weeks, just to give you a break I have Connie on today. Still a special girl …...

Spoiled for choice, Andrew!

 By: dxboon : August 28th, 2009-01:38
Either way you look at it, between the two watches pictured, you'll be wearing a winner on the wrist! Have a wonderful weekend! Cheers, Daos

i love that piepan Connie. a steel case and silver dial, perfect

 By: G99 : August 28th, 2009-03:01
i've been looking at piepan connies from that special year as my connie is a bit on the boring side, but i only seem to find gold or gold capped models which i dont want. i have enough gold dressy watches. one day i'll find one. lovely watch in lovely con...

Thanks Graham, it is THE most BASIC Connie, but ...

I now understand why you've been absent for awhile, Nicolas. While on holiday, you were starring in a new movie... The US release date has moved to 2010. Perhaps, to give Nicolas some time for re-shoots?! (key art image from Buzz Box) Just teasing, Nicola...

the credit for the watch and flower shot goes to my wife and my kids! I asked them to take a nice photo while I was riding my moutainbike . But they will be happy you also like the photo like I do. The lovely wristshot is all mine, though , erm, erm. But ...

Lovely story, fantastic pictures...

 By: nikolaj : August 28th, 2009-01:38
And a very nice watch! I salute you in your decision not to revamp the dial. Especially in a watch with so much family history, the patina becomes part of that story in my opinion. Long live sentimental value! nikolaj

Thanks for your kind affirmation, Nikolaj

 By: anaesdoc : August 28th, 2009-02:05
As I admitted towards Daos, the flower and watch photo was taken by my wife (assisted by our daughters). Of course this is much nicer than my wristshot. Best, anaesdoc

It reminds me of the Patek campaign, with just the photos of the dad´s missing and the watches being much more affordable! I like the classic look of your father´s watch which obviously survived well to look like this nowadays. One of my concern...

Grand Seiko SBRG19.

The serial # puts it around

 By: Bill : August 28th, 2009-17:42
1965 / 1966 but you never quite know if all matches. It would seem that the dial feet first was also present around that time. I will differ to the experts. I love the watch. Bill

Feet first came earlier to the US market …
