Like a double hair spring
While one is expanding the other is contracting.
But I think it would be very difficult to set the timing of the two springs identical in this configuration as they have very different geometries and I don't see how they could be treated separately.
But maybe you can think of a way.

Why do we really need simmetrical vibration at balance wheel? Because classic swiss lever is designed for this. But what about new escapement with separated locking-impulse (etc.) stages (like Daniels)? If we do not except simmetrical, but only periodical...
