It's a Novelty
This has nothing to do with accuracy. There are curb pin regulators in CSOC chronometers. This has everything to do with novelty. It looks cool and that is about it; it's not even a marvelous feat of mechanical engineering. They are trying to be different and, by doing so, they can justify the extravagant price of this new movement that gives nothing new in terms of timekeeping. It's just a toy. It's a look at me. It's a conversation starter. It's might even be a status symbol, but it's nothing great, fantastic, or mind boggling.
