It seems calendar settings are made for New York though. I hope the owner likes to wear battledress pants for its big pockets

Sunrise/sunset times don't work. Sun sets in NY as late as 20:30 and sun doesn't rise before 05:24. Seems that an earlier analysis, including one that aligned the celestial map with the date yielded something closer to Russia (southern).

It is truly a masterwork. The complications and, as you have pointed out, the aesthetics are both amazing. It would have been easy to allow it to be a technical marvel and simply ignore the aesthetics. But, always do better if possible, right? One of the ...

kudos to Vacheron Constantin for creating this most complicated watch! And I agree with you Mark that the design is very nice too. The dials look great and very balanced. Such projects are very important IMHO. Not for commercial reasons but to continue up... 

This is important for watchmaking as a whole. Now, to be exhaustive I would liek to know how it rings, how well it works the technical choices etc... It is beautiful and exciting! Cheers Robin, Mark
