Vacheron Constantin

Thanks Bill Nice article on this detail

I remember the nice talk I had with other people in Münich and especially with Mr Selmoni, when he talked how they made the dial as thin as possible.

And I remember quite well this 1955.

When the watch arrived, along with the square ultra thin and some other models. At first I barely noticed it, "not bad" I thought at first, and I went directly to the square Historiques 1968. The 1968 is beautiful but did not sit perfectly on my wrist, then I tried the 1955 , "really nice" second thought, and it sat perfectly on my wrist with the best comfort I ever had, growing and growing.

At the end of the day, night ,I thought, wow this is maybe the model I like the most in the collection, more than the american 1921 or Patrimony or any other "simple" Vacheron.

The design is perfect, the dial looks simple on photo but is really beautiful seen for real with these kind of details. The caliber is fantastic, ultra thin in gold, beautifully treated, no flaws on the regulation systems on the "cliquet" anti retour, everything is beautiful which not always the case in some High Horology calibers.

I love this 1955, would love to owe one.
