This may be well known to you but FWIW, the "P" of P454 confirms its Parechoc shock-resist system. The difference between the 454 and Chronometre Royal variant (both based on the 453) was six additional parts, most noticeably a stop lever which acted directly on the balance wheel when the crown was pulled. This is why the caliber's full name is P1008/BS, "BS" for Balancier Stop.

i recently grab this V&C from the 60's ref 6308 in steel with rare 36 case caliber is jlc based cal 454/5B with geneva seals( bcse there are strangly 2 seals) a very nice "calatrava". i will pimp it soon with a new bracelet understated & chic all the best...

very intering to see your dial bcse the applied markers are the same but the print around the dial is different. Your "perlé" is aligned with markers and mine is right above the radium of the applied markers . we have here a mk1 and mk 2 dial
