I've been able to try on the Excellence Platine model and was quite tempted... ...
It's almost perfect.
The lack of hacking seconds and the screwed back that almost never aligns correctly is what kills this watch for me. If it had those, I'd buy one and its variants in a flash. The caseback problem I illustrate below: Notice how the Vacheron and Constantin ...
I wasn't aware of that problem and, tbh, it doesn't bother me at all, personally...
But I certainly can understand that you feel differently about it. As for hacking seconds, it only matters to me on a watch like the LUC Quattro Spirit 25, where I like the hour to jump spot on (reason why I'm glad it has hacking). But I don't miss it on ...

Unfortunately I ordered a different VC first and when I came to order the platinum model, it was out of production. Still love the dial, case and the movement. I also think there was a different RG model with another guilloche pattern.

I dig 2 inward angles on the movement.
No corners cut! This is a clear advantage over my Patek 6119G where they missed the oppprtunity to make 2-3 inward angles to please us (sophisticated watch crowd).
