Having been a long time βlurkerβ here in admiration of the civilized detente notably absent from other prominent horological forums, the feeling has struck me to join this fray. Some may appreciate this one, as I have not seen this one around here just ye...
Sure, In about a decade of collecting I am so deep in it I donβt know which way is up! Like most things that end up taking over it started small, and has gone parabolic, and is only getting more severe, but I love it. Really, as time has gone on the rate ...
There is much to share. Wrist time is at more and more of a premium, while my collection still continues to grow. A great problem to have of course. We are all blessed here. I have resorted to giving watches away as sometimes I feel my collection has beco...
Of course would be wiser to sell, but I have not been able to bring myself to do so. Besides thinking of the hassle involved of course will put you off of that. I will be happy to continue, thank you friend.
I can take some photos for you with straps if you have an interest there. The bracelet is so good I have not felt the need to use the straps as of yet, especially in a rotation where I don't require versatility from one watch. Even though it is exceedingl...
We appreciatie your membership. I was ones a member of such a horological forum where civilized behavior was not present. It was not always that bad, but WPS attracted me with the language i like. Also the watches are better. I bought a watch, and while s...
I must agree with you on all points, it is not very attractive the other way. This place still appears to be wholly about the love of timepieces of all kinds, free of trends. It makes more sense to me. I will be pleased to chat more with all.
I have had surprised remarks on the thinness on this one, and the case shape is scalloped such that it plays thinner than it even is by the numbers. The ultra thin case is one of the best aspects.
I joined this forum for exactly the same reasons and I can say itβs a really great community! Lokking forward to learn more about you and your passion. An exceptional piece, this ultrathin PC. I fell in love with the white gold (non skeleton) version and ...
I love the blue dial on steel (I have a 4500v) and also some of the RG Overseas models, but the combination of material and dial color is not very harmonious imho. I think the PP 5711R with its brownish-greyish dial is more to my taste.
As you already have the blue dial in steel the wg with grey dial in the same vein is more useful complementation, I can see it. Have you put on any full gold ultra thin?
between the 5740 and the VC Overseas perpetual. For me, the 5740 just ticked all the boxes and I absolutely love it. On the other hand, if you must take decisions on this level, cheating or not cheating, youβre a lucky bastard π
I don't know if you have tried vc overseas ultra thin pc, besides being high comp sports models they wear very different, I think one will not replace the other. Many differences here. The only solution is to have them all !
I have seen only one for sale some years ago, after the production ended, which was around the retail price still. Rare to see watch and a distillation to the essence. Should I hear of one for sale I will send you a message. I am thinking this PC will be ...
Have you been able to try the current overseas pc ? 2000v is smaller but it is not a great difference, trying the wg pc is close enough to give you some idea of how much you will like 2000v on I think.
A very plat but wide feeling case with strong visual impression, but I don't find any problem, still the first links can go fully straight down which cannot be taken for granted. Not a good photo for looking at but maybe helps see how it sits ? ...
At this advanced stage it has become this way, I am like many here fully infected by this bug which of course as we all have seen it does not end even with such special items... π
