Hi. Thanks for the friendly encouragement and word of warning.
Some reading seems to be in order. Something has just clicked. I can't explain why I've suddenly tuned in to VC in a way that I haven't with its peers. That's interesting in and of itself. I'm more than happy to digest what the knowledgeable folk here have to say - there are some top drawer contributors.
As for getting lost, let's see. As you can see from my first steps, it's been somewhat accidental. Perhaps it needed that 'to get in.' Let's see where idle curiosity goes to begin with. Much thanks.

Hello. Sure. It's 35mm in diameter minus the crown. The watch is in steel, and it runs on calibre K1072/T from what I gather.
I've yet to take delivery of either watch, so the photos above and the others I have belong to the seller. Here are two more taken in natural sunlight: There were no-date versions through the 1960s but I'm not averse to the odd date window here and there....

Congrats on finding such nice examples . I’m curious about the ”T” in your K1072 calibre, not a description I’ve come across before. The K denotes Kif-flector anti shock and a Q would be used to identify the date version.

Thanks very much. I always value your encouraging words. I also reached out to Allen Farmello of Beyond The Dial, whose recent musings on VC may have helped shape my thinking at some level.
Of course I'm not entirely oblivious to the presence and prowess of VC. It's impossible to avoid but it was sideways glances rather than direct looks. I think I've found a point of entry that I'm comfortable with too. That is to say, the quiet back alleys...
