For me, it's the "bottle cap" bezel which really sets this design apart from the Genta ones.

 

There are other elements of course, but this relatively thin bezel, carved in a way which I find to be very refined and elegant yet industrial (as it should) at the same time looks very unique.
There's no simple word to describe it and many different ones are used online: "grooved" bezel, "notched", "serrated", "scalloped"...
Even VC's website is hesitant: they speak of "grooved" bezel on the yellow gold version's page, but of "fluted" bezel on the steel version's one (a bad choice, imo, as fluted bezel is too reminiscent of Rolex, which has a very different design).
