Don't shy away from vintage
just educate yourself before taking the plunge. I've had a couple of 6394s aka linen bezel, they are really cool. Rolex, Patek, others, all have similar issues with fakes. V&C is at a disadvantage because there isn't much published on vintage collecting, but we have forums where enthusiasts share. If you put in the effort to research first, I'm sure no one will give you a hard time for posting a watch and requesting opinions on authenticity. Good luck!
