Vacheron Constantin

I will be in New York next week and plan to visit the Vacheron Boutique. Does anyone know if they will they work on price, or are you likely to get a better price at an AD? Also, does anyone have recommendations for watch dealers on 47th Street that offer... 

1. Boutiques in general do not discount. AD MAY discount, but can't be sure. But, AD is on 54th, and the boutique is around 60th, so you can find by yourself. 2. 47th st. is full of grey dealers or used watch dealers. I suggest anyone who wants to help do... 

and instead of a discount they will likely offer you a gift. There are other AD's in NY as well. We're looking forward to seeing what you choose for yourself. Best regards, Bill

Thanks to everyone who responded to my post. I visited the NY VC Boutique last week. Selection was better than most AD's and staff was very friendly. However, as suggested, they would not work on the price and offered me a gift instead. A few of the grey ...  

Great choice and I see you have enjoyed the hunt :) Good that you found a nice and good AD in New York. It's important to keep the good relationship for your next purchase and I am glad they not just gave you a good price but offered to polish your Rolex.... 

Thanks! I love the blue as well and was really torn between them. In the end, I just had to pull the trigger and pick one. Having seen all three colors in person now, I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the dials on this beautiful watch.

I'd be very wary to buy on 47th street. I'd probably buy a watch at auction before 47th street. And boy, have I had problems with the auction houses. Congratulations on the new watch. Very glad that you were able to get the watch you wanted at an AD inste... 

The Overseas Chrono may be my next watch, and I still have to decide on the dial color. Wear it in good health.

As the other responses have inferred, there is a corporate policy prohibiting VC Boutiques from discounting. On the other hand, they will have several times the inventory of any AD. There are, however, quite a few ADs in NYC, so you might get lucky. As fa... 

Not sure I agree that the boutique always has better inventory... My favorite dealer on 47th street has a very healthy inventory with much much depth of watches that the VC boutique.
