I will be in New York next week and plan to visit the Vacheron Boutique. Does anyone know if they will they work on price, or are you likely to get a better price at an AD? Also, does anyone have recommendations for watch dealers on 47th Street that offer quality new or preowned watches? Thanks.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my post. I visited the NY VC Boutique last week. Selection was better than most AD's and staff was very friendly. However, as suggested, they would not work on the price and offered me a gift instead. A few of the grey market dealers on 47th Street seemed professional and trustworthy, and claimed to have new watches still sealed in original boxes for good prices. However, I then visited two AD's, and found one with inventory as good as the Boutique's -- at least for the watches in which I was most interested. They did work on price and, while still more expensive than the 47th Street dealers, the comfort of buying direct from an AD made the extra cost worth it. They also offered added perks, like a complimentary polish of my old Rolex. In the end, I purchased a new Overseas Chrono from the AD and was very happy with the entire experience. What I saved off list price will go towards the next addition to my collection.... perhaps from the same AD next time I'm in NY....

You are right, you can't go wrong with any version of the Overseas. The white dial is very versatile.
Enjoy that beauty!
Best,
