And Everyone seems crazy for a blue dial Overseas these days. Which is actually one of watches I completely don't care for in the Vacheron Constantin portfolio. I wished people would go for what they liked themselves. But even here, on this website, the epitome of watch taste on the internet (yes, I understand the internet is a low bar in general) we get some members posing questions to mostly strangers, "should I get this watch or that one?" Which just shows... Those people only want to buy something that is approved by a greater body of people. They're looking for approval from their peers. And while they may appear to be humble in such a case, once they get their "trophy watch" some of them immediately lose their humbleness and start suggesting to others that they're superior in some way because they had the foresight to choose the "cool piece" as if they chose it entirely on their own. It's like a bad manager, who relies on his team to hit the goal, and then throws his own team under the bus by never giving credit. But what can I say, even monkeys in the animal kingdom exhibit these hierarchical traits. Maybe it's in our DNA.
But philosophy aside and back to the 222. I always liked the 222 because it was thin! I like it much more than the current flavor of the year, the Overseas, which I find too thick.
