A manual movement???
talk about 'burning the house'! I've been communicating with VC bespoke off and on, and when you ask for something TRULY unique, the price increases often by 10 times.
For instance, a one of a kind Ti Overseas? 130 to 170 THOUSAND dollars.
Add 50 grand for that manual movement, and I would not be surprised... 
Back to the blue 12. I kind of like it as well, WHL. It's SUCH a great watch...
I had another idea to have the 'Chronometre Royal' written in red. Wouldn't that be nice?
Still daydreaming, I guess.

but it is a commitment. I am not sure a blue 12 would be 'right'. Yet I myself thought of it intuitively before Dominique suggested it... I'm not sure. It has to be right. I'm hoping Dominique will find a place in VC history where a blue 12 has a rightful...

Probably brighter than it would be in reality, but just for a way of imagining. I think it looks too bright here, but I could imagine it darker, more subtle... still thinking about it... all black also appeals to me in the absolute stealth manner or as Am...

especially with the blue strap to tie it all together. I believe that one of Kari Voutilainen's Oberservatory watches came with blue numbers. I'll try to dig up a picture. Bill
A bit darker blue, and it would be almost perfect....

1921 in platinum is all but certain don't you think? Red 12... up to you! Back to the CR in plat. House Version. Looking at it more and more... I don't know if a red or blue or any other color 12 would improve it. I like it's 'deliciously cold' rendering....
I was lucky enough to see it in the flesh some months ago, Mostel.
And to say all, even in this " normal " configuration ( Platinum case, white dial, black numbers ), this CR is to die for. As some watches, we just need time to fully understand and appreciate it. High in my list. Best, Nicolas
