Utility vs Aesthetics

Although there seem to be several arguments for the use of crocodile / aligator as a material for a watch strap and although I think they're quite handsome with many watches, I also feel they appear inapropriate on some dress watches as they sometimes tend to overpower a really clean and elegant watch. Again, it really does seem to come down to the owners own sensibilities.

It's more "luxurious" and more expensive than calf.

Not necessary alligator, it can be crocodile.
