Today I just received the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes de Vache 🐮 so I thought I would share my "mini review". Allright sometimes watches arrive close to each other 😅 it was not planned but just after my latest Moser I now finally received also ...  

This CDV is indeed a very charming watch.

A second new watch in a short period. I do not want to break in quickly. Enjoy your new Vacheron Constantin. Your Blue H Moser and Cie tourbillon, super clean, lean and historical clever. I like Vacheron Constantin, but as said like your Moser, i like not... 

regarding the strap I am usually firmly stuck with the original ones...somehow I prefer with the one provided with the watch! (love both of them althrough the Vacheron strap is a bit ticker but probably because is new)

Mostly i buy one watch between a month of 10. Previous year i bought two in a year, while i do mostly one. Due to the marvels watch maisons release, it was no game to ignore the beauties and i only could bow and buy the watch. Now the same. I seen a AP wh...

love the steel version vs the gold one!

Question: How easy is it to read the metal-colored hands against the light colored dial? As I get older this is becoming increasingly important. Thanks and enjoy your new watch!

is pretty readable to me but again I have it since few hours only 😅but I do wear good glasses! Writing this in the evening and the contast is pretty good I would say

I too wear glasses but can sometimes get away with seeing the time without them depending upon the watch. One of my watches might be going away because of lack of said readability. In any case, thanks for your response and enjoy your new watch — it’s a be... 

but, checking again (also without glasses) and the thickness of the hands make it fairly easy to read

somehow it feels more compact, I am enjoying the steel vs gold lighter weight ..both great watches through ! Strap similar or almost identical I would say ...

and comfort! I loved the steel version first launched by Hodinkee in 2017..wise for Vacheron to issue their own steel version. After a few watches in Platinum which I still own (geophysics, rolex, lange) I feel that the steel is much ligher and comfortabl...

You indeed have bought a gem of a watch. Coincidentally, I tried one on last night and the watch has been on my mind ever since, To me taking into account its dimensions, price, case material, dial, lugs and movement finishing, this is my favourite chrono... 

Because I have a 36.5mm American which is very comfy although because it is in white gold , it is heavier than the stainless steel Cornes de Vache.

toward the end is very tough..even the crown position and case shape makes it not so comfortable to wind

I feel these two are very different, love them both and super happy to have them !

happy with the steel, with time I realised platinum is a bit too heavy to be comfortable...and of course in this case would be much more expensive I think

I have tried it on at the boutique a couple times over the past 1+ years and I can't seem to get it out of my mind.
