Congratulations! Iโ€™m very happy for you. This is a reference I was eyeing myself for a long time but I missed the train since my preference was the PT. I wish you lots of joy and fulfillment when you put it on your wrist.๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

 By: christianch : January 20th, 2023-19:47
Today I just received the Vacheron Constantin Historiques Cornes de Vache ๐Ÿฎ so I thought I would share my "mini review". Allright sometimes watches arrive close to each other ๐Ÿ˜… it was not planned but just after my latest Moser I now finally received also ...

thank you !! ๐Ÿ‘ well I did let some pieces go so I don't feel as bad as adding 2 so quickly ๐Ÿ˜…

Your happiness on the new incomings beat the sadness of the old outgoings. Enjoy!

Surprice

A second new watch in a short period. I do not want to break in quickly. Enjoy your new Vacheron Constantin. Your Blue H Moser and Cie tourbillon, super clean, lean and historical clever. I like Vacheron Constantin, but as said like your Moser, i like not...

thanks a lot! ! usually I don't get watches so fast ๐Ÿ˜…

 By: christianch : January 20th, 2023-22:56
regarding the strap I am usually firmly stuck with the original ones...somehow I prefer with the one provided with the watch! (love both of them althrough the Vacheron strap is a bit ticker but probably because is new)

I feel the same

 By: Weems@8 : January 20th, 2023-23:15
Mostly i buy one watch between a month of 10. Previous year i bought two in a year, while i do mostly one. Due to the marvels watch maisons release, it was no game to ignore the beauties and i only could bow and buy the watch. Now the same. I seen a AP wh...

love the steel version vs the gold one!

Nice watch. Iโ€™d like to see one in person.

Question: How easy is it to read the metal-colored hands against the light colored dial? As I get older this is becoming increasingly important. Thanks and enjoy your new watch!

Good question

 By: christianch : January 20th, 2023-22:59
is pretty readable to me but again I have it since few hours only ๐Ÿ˜…but I do wear good glasses! Writing this in the evening and the contast is pretty good I would say

Thank you very much for your response.

 By: RabidManatee : January 21st, 2023-01:54
I too wear glasses but can sometimes get away with seeing the time without them depending upon the watch. One of my watches might be going away because of lack of said readability. In any case, thanks for your response and enjoy your new watch โ€” itโ€™s a be...

I understand..I wouldn't say this is the most readable

 By: christianch : January 21st, 2023-10:53
but, checking again (also without glasses) and the thickness of the hands make it fairly easy to read

Merci!

 By: RabidManatee : January 21st, 2023-16:10

ahh is really nice ๐Ÿ‘here a comparison with the Americain

 By: christianch : January 20th, 2023-23:02
somehow it feels more compact, I am enjoying the steel vs gold lighter weight ..both great watches through ! Strap similar or almost identical I would say ...

Amazing duo!

first reason the platinum is no longer in production (I don't buy used/second wrist) but also the price ๐Ÿ˜…

 By: christianch : January 21st, 2023-10:50
and comfort! I loved the steel version first launched by Hodinkee in 2017..wise for Vacheron to issue their own steel version. After a few watches in Platinum which I still own (geophysics, rolex, lange) I feel that the steel is much ligher and comfortabl...

Thank you for sharing!

You indeed have bought a gem of a watch. Coincidentally, I tried one on last night and the watch has been on my mind ever since, To me taking into account its dimensions, price, case material, dial, lugs and movement finishing, this is my favourite chrono...

Really?

 By: sham1 : January 21st, 2023-17:44
Because I have a 36.5mm American which is very comfy although because it is in white gold , it is heavier than the stainless steel Cornes de Vache.

I have a 40mm, the watch looks great but it has probably the worse winding than any manual movement

 By: christianch : January 21st, 2023-18:49
no comparison with the CdV that is a pleasure to wind.

What is wrong with the winding?

 By: sham1 : January 22nd, 2023-01:44
Mine is very smooth.

really? also toward the end ?

 By: christianch : January 22nd, 2023-09:53
for ne winding is a true pain. Your comment makes me wonder if is perhaps an issue with my watch..I could send it in since I have 8 years warranty ๐Ÿ˜… but I heard other owners saying that is not that smooth and toward the end is very hard to wind (you almos...

Mine is terribly smooth!

 By: sham1 : January 22nd, 2023-15:09

umh may be the 40mm is different..or mine is broken๐Ÿ˜…

 By: christianch : January 23rd, 2023-00:50
toward the end is very tough..even the crown position and case shape makes it not so comfortable to wind

thank you ๐Ÿ‘indeed it doesn't look much smaller thanks to the lugs

 By: christianch : January 21st, 2023-10:52
I feel these two are very different, love them both and super happy to have them !

๐Ÿ‘thank you for your kind words!!

 By: christianch : January 21st, 2023-18:51
happy with the steel, with time I realised platinum is a bit too heavy to be comfortable...and of course in this case would be much more expensive I think

Congrats! That is a heart achingly beautiful watch.

I have tried it on at the boutique a couple times over the past 1+ years and I can't seem to get it out of my mind.

Big congratulations on acquiring this VC! Splendid piece indeed!
