Nicolas, I am in the same camp with you on this one. Oddly enough, I like all versions of this watch. But I do not necessarily have a strong preference for the platinum case. I almost think now that I prefer the yellow gold, which is also strange for me.
You cannot go wrong with this one no matter the case or the dial.

I hunted for one in PT for a very long time, but couldn't find one in the condition I wanted, so I moved on... I owned its yellow gold brother for a while--also a nice piece, with so much vintage flavor--but eventually sold it as I mostly prefer white met...
It is one of these very rare watches I love in all metals. ;)

I found the yellow gold Historiques Chonograph.....
To have a more formal air about it. I attributed it to the gold ring around the subdials. While VC delivered the watch with a shiny black strap, even a matte finished or brown strap retained the formality. I preferred platinum (rare for me) for a more gen...
