Ulysse Nardin #1 of 3 Platinium 1846 Marine Chronometer:

I have seen a few comments on forums about this watch edition of three pieces. I commissioned the watch back in 1996 when UN was selling the gold, rose gold limited edition 150th anniversary watch. A close friend was working for UN and they agreed to produce 3 watches as a limited run if buyers could be found for the other two watches.

I have Number 1 which is worn regularly and is truly a lovely watch. I received a personally signed letter from watchmaker etc and other items when I purchased the watch. I have not seen the other two mentioned and would be interested to know where they are now.

You have something unique. And in the world of collectors a coveted piece. You are lucky to have such a piece built and thanks goes to your UN connection for making it happen. Where did the other two pieces go. Welcome and tell more about what lurks in yo...

Thanks Bill that's really nice of you to say. I heard the other two were sold to collector/dealer in Buckinghamshire. I have a UN 263-33 Maxi Marine Diver Chronometer 43mm which is need of a new strap and service. Others I have include an Omega Gold Fill ...

Darren, welcome here! What a pleasure to see this one.

I heard about it, thought it was a kind of loch ness monster, and now you come and show it. I am a big fan of this one, rather than the later ones which come with the date. Without date, much better! Bravo. A huge bravo. Best, Nicolas

I am madly in love Marine Chronometers, without date

UN did a great job. BTW, I am normally not bothered by date windows, but this dial without date just shows perfect balance.

You have a sibling of my RG 150th Anniversary UN 1846MC... I also owned one of the 3 in Platinum for about a week, and in a rash business decision decided to sell it. It was one of those I still have some regrets about selling to this day. It still reside...

Without date...
