they're sold out. A couple of years later we were at a favorite multi brand store in Vegas looking at UNs and my wife says isn't that the Perpetual ltd you love? Yep!! They said a good customer had put a down payment on it and then got sick and passed away. The down payment went back to the guy's estate and the watch went into their safe until that process ended. By the end of them being in cases the price had gone up to almost $30,000 but they offered it to me for around the original list price. Still too much for me at the time. Then my lady (later my wife) says "you could take out a 2nd on your condo"! I used to beat up people at work for doing that to buy an M3 and now I'm contemplating doing it for a watch! Well I did it and have never regretted it. I paid it off quickly and was able to write off interest on taxes so I have no idea exactly what I paid for it. Also I'd have to factor in how much I had to eventually pay for replacing three watches I sold to help pay off that loan. A Blue Max, a white dialed UN Annual Calendar chronograph (on bracelet) and a blue dialed 40mm Dual Time! Wife warned me not to sell those! It took me 15 years to find suitable replacements! I'm now back to my old mantra, never sell a UN from their golden period!
