Wind the piece. First set the year using the dragon hand and moon disc position when calendar is set to Jan 1st - there is a chart in the book that tells you what year it is when the piece is set to Jan 1st by looking at the Dragon hand and moon position....

Now rotate the time backwards to get the moon back to 12 position. Today is a new moon. Once the moon is at 12, set the centre earth to GMT time. Then press left button to separate the hands from the GMT Cloisonné and set your local time. Then you are goo...

Easy for me, GMT here. I always find it a wonderful 10 mins spent to get the Tellurium set - I used to keep it on a winder but somehow that took away the fun and it really is amazing to think you are viewing the real time position of the sun, moon and ear...

The original with Cloisonné enamel and the later with painted earth. Also looks to me like the blue finish of the hours, minutes and Perpetual concentric rings has been changed to black on the newer piece. Not forgetting the change from green to blue for ...
