My idea: Let's start from this Torpilleur: Let's take a 40 mm case. No need to go bigger, in my opinion. Steel or titanium, up to you... Steel would be less expensive. Then, let's go for a black enamel dial. Smooth step bezel. Let's change the see through...  

Maybe get rid of PR in front, put on back or have logo at 12 instead. TI

...but manufacturers seem to have different ways to show 'Up' and 'Down.' I would prefer 'Up' to show the number of hours left and 'Down' to be zero hours when the movement stops. Maybe that's just me...

If I may ask, what's the significance of the red "24"? Perhaps, the red accent can be placed at a more symmetrical position (near 12 o' clock)?

They should make it in corinthian bronze or some nautical metal. Some special wood dial will be nice too. This watch has some nautical DNA which they have not fully expressed. Somehow, the Panerai Eileen Radiomir came to my mind when I thought about poten... 

Lumed enamel, like those used in Angular Momentum watches. Nothing else needs to be changed. Imagine a whole dial which glows, in a delicate enamel. Ooooo

So they came in 40mm? Website models indicate a 42mm size. But at 40, and with all those features you mentioned, it would be interesting simply because it would be a UN x WPS piece. Midnight blue enamel dial could also be an option but would not mind blac... 

Black enamel + smooth bezel would give this model a whole new charm and identity

would love to see a Purist UN... but my personal preference would be the San Marco in 40mm... but in steel or titanium ... with a enamel dial in a nice color (black, white, green). Hour index Breguet would be lovely or stick index perhaps! Hands dauphine....

As much as I like them torpilleur project idea I wonder indeed if this would be more special as a “purist” timepiece…love it! It is also a less common UN reference which I like

With a black enamel dial I would also rather see the hands in silver or white (for better legibility). And ,why not, the power reserve indicator hand in ...red ! I would be in for sure !! Best, Gerard

I don't post too much on here but thought this sounded like a great idea, so I've done a quick photoshop with some of the ideas mentioned above: -Black enamel dial with white roman numerals -Stepped bezel -Red power reserve and small seconds hands -White ...  

How about this exact watch in salmon dial?

UN used a similar mix of silver hands and printing on the Berlin I owned, always thought it looks stunning. Does sacrifice a certain amount of legibility having black polished hands. 🤔 ...  

As a big UN enthusiast I’m really both surprised and happy to see the brand receive so much attention and love here, usually (sadly) they are kept out of main watch conversations shadowed by titans like Patek or Vacheron. P.S. : the San Marco line is trul... 

So i might prefer a white enamel if possible. Also, on a smaller case I would also suggest reducing the size of the Roman numerals which I always found a tad too big as they take too much space on the dial IMHO. I actually like see through case but could ... 

For a marine watch I prefer white or blue enamel. I have a couple of titanium watches and this is a material very of my taste but I think steel would work well here... and it is cheaper. Greetings.

Special purpose for a marine watch. My ideal dial would be all as you have described but maybe with blue indices to match the blued hands. I’ll be first on the list ! Best Will
