Yes the engine is tough
But I’ve replaced the thermostat twice in 50,000 miles and many of the hoses. Lotus re-routed and cobbled the cooling system together. Mine has been flushed 3 times and still has some rusty color. I think it’s an alloy radiator so why? Plus there’s a cooling system for the turbo which saves the turbo bearings but puts that heat back into the engine…

A bit surprised by the overheating issue. I thought the Isuzu sourced engine was relatively bullet proof? 🤷🏻♂️ But then you do have it a tad warmer in California 😁
