True story: many years ago, I was hanging out at a local bar, and the regulars were talkin' football.
I pipe up with my reverence for the Raiders.
A guy a few seats away says, "I used to live in the Bay Area back in the day. One Saturday night out with my pals, The Snake walks into the pub with a babe on each arm. He staggered out at closing time, drunk as a skunk.
Called my bookie first thing in the morning. 'Bet it all against the Raiders.' There was no way he could've been awake, much less sober, by game time."
