VIDEO AT BOTTOM FOR THOSE NOT AFRAID OF SNAKES
We had a very similar rattlesnake in our office a few years ago. It came from the boss not wanting to run the air conditioning, so he propped the doors open and this rattler came in and set up house under the copier.
One morning he came out into the hallway and terrified us. The owner and our VP of sales were actually up on chairs like in the cartoons.
Our ever-so-brave Finance manager picked up the litter-grabbing tool and snatched the snake by the head. I took the photos (no zoom).
I thought to make myself a strap. but it wasn't as easy as I thought it might be...
Regarding killing him, opinions vary on this, but we have a large surplus of snakes esp rattlesnakes around here. Sorry but in my book, once they get used to living in a building their number is up!
I don't like to see my wife doing this before our first cup of tea in the morning!
Or an 8-year-old boy poking this 6-footer with a stick because his parents had walked off and left him alongside a road near the Pt Loma Lighthouse
Ranger Raoul and I took care of it
Or even if not poisonous, it's not fun having my nephew pulling this off the front porch at Grandpa's house
