I love ice cream cake! As a kid, my favorite ice cream cakes were from Carvel. The best part about those cakes was the layer of little chocolate crunchies. Delightful!

It's simply that no LA chef has wanted to come down here and that no local chef has thought that it would be worth the money to do. I have seen a local pizza place and a fish taco truck (both so-so) and only at events - that's it! I've heard that 20 truck...
We get about 2-3 trucks a day at my office. :-)

Sweet & salty is a classic combo.
The brownie with Nutella and bacon was great. My other favorite salt/sweet pairing is caramel with fleur de sel. There's a little confectionary in Pasadena called Little Flower Candy Company that makes great French-style salt caramels that are to die for!...
