The Art of Sprezzatura
One of the most difficult dressing manouvers a man can achieve is “sprezzatura”.
Let’s see a few examples (what is/what is not):
Gianni Agnelli - the secret is break conventions.
Tom Ford - or maintain a good physique and go simple with 1-2 small touches
Or have a hairy italian chest, and button down. Only applies to a guardsman physique. And be found with a cigarette in your hand, not cigar.
But not like this...this is too posh. Too much energy and effort. Sprezzatura must be slightly dishevelled, intentionally
And maybe not like this - overcooked. Sometimes he pulls it off, sometimes he doesn’t. But always keep trying and have fun!
And it helps to wear a classic watch, maybe a Rolex pre-maxi case, maybe a Patek Calatrava, maybe a Jaeger Reverso.
