Next up is the one to visit is the Thai Airways Royal Silk
lounge at the Bradley International terminal Los Angeles airport
(LAX). It's conveniently located upstairs and to the right
once you pass the security checkout. This loung does not
require a seperate pass as they scan your boarding pass for
access. The staff was so-so with one of them text messaging on
her cellphone instead of helping the guests behind me.
To the left is the hallway leading to the seating
area of the lounge.
Here's a video of the
inside of the Thai Airways Royal Silk
lounge:
Adjacent to the front
desk was a wall of clocks with the time of various cities, I was hoping
for a AP clock but didn't notice any brand associated with these
ones.
The lounge had regular
plush chairs, couches, and barstools.
The lounge wifi
connection was reliable but slow. A few people tried to skype
their friends and family but it was too slow to work.
At&t and Sprint 3G and 4G was weak but phone calls were
fine.
We arrived at night so we
sample the items offered at dinner time.
The hotdish is a Thai
curry/Jumbalaya type rice dish with sausage and shrimp. The
rice was mushy and the shrimp was way overcooked. However, the
sausage was good.
Can't go wrong with a
sandwich right? I got a smoked turkey and mozzarella with
tomatoes. Nothing worth noting, kinda plain and simple
sandwich.
Noticed that a few people
ate the green one so I tried it out. Turned out to be a Cajun
chicken wrap with a soft green tortilla with a flavored mayo and
veggies. This was actually pretty good, even though it was
white meat chicken, it was tender and not too spicy.
Hello all! Recently I had a chance to fly the friendly skies and got to use the Thai Airways Royal Silk lounges in 3 different airports. I've tried the Delta and United lounges but never this one so it was nice to be able to compare the difference between...

Lastly we look at the Thai Airways Royal Silk lounge at Suvarnabhumi airport in Thailand. This lounge can be found on the right hand side past the walkway area before the gates. They have several lounges as the airport here is huge and you visit the one d...
They are indeed very nice airport lounges! Among the best that I've seen! If they had a vehicle to transport you to the gate, then this would probably be the best airport lounge ever! How were the showers/bath tubs? A quick shower or a longer soak always ...
If you are departing from Bangkok, they have an excellent arrangement for F and C class travelers. Thai Airways Royal Silk lounges are famous for the free massages if you have enough time during your layover. I didn't use the showers nor would I want to b...
Very cool DRMW. I've never been to the TG Royal Silk lounge. I spend most of my airport wait time in the Delta Skyteam lounges which is much sparser in terms of offerings. Mostly a few carrots, cookies, crackers and other uninteresting things. But I guess...
Did you check the wine selection in these three airport lounge? You are right, overall, the lounge in Hong Kong airport is better. If you have the opportunity, try out SQ lounge in Changi Airport. To me, quite a good experience. Regards Ling
Didn't take pics of the wines as I tried to be as discreet about taking pics of a secure area in a foreign country. I will be posting my in-flight shots shortly! Haven't been to the SQ lounge, what did you like about it? Was it the service, food, or somet...
