TimeOut

Old wives tale

That was the story you heard all the time about Jaguars.  I have owned many since 1996 and never had any problems.

As far as Astons are concerned you will find exactly the same thing.  Never a problem whatsoever.  Granted an oil change costs an arm and a leg compared to a BMW service but I don't feel so bad why you see Ferrari owners need there engine to be dropped for service and that cost way more than an Aston oil change.

As with all modern high performance cars they use the best of breed parts for their electronics, transmission and anything else that ensures reliability.  Couple that with a hand finished and assembled automobile you can't get any better.

I am not sure how to work the quartz vs mechanical watch in here but I am sure there are some people around here that could draw some analogies.  The Aston sits very high on the totem pole of mechanical watches.
