I can remember the days when you called a company for anything

someone answered within a few rings.  Now you get a recording and
have to go thru about 69 different prompts to get to who/the department
you want, and some of the time the call is misdirected to someone
you don't want to talk to. And it seems like EVERYONES
"options have recently changed"  I don't think so, not every company
is constantly "changing their options".  How about this, someone
answers the phone politely, you tell them the reason for your call
and they transfer you to who you need.  Ok, rant over, you may all
now go on about your day.

And don't forget, "We are currently experience higher call volume than expected."

Yeah...it is as frustrating as air travel nowadays....a sign of growth that we are not ready or slacking of? I usually keep pressing "0" till someone picks up.

A simple question results in getting bounced around to 3 or 4

different people/departments, neither of which can answer your question. That leaves you with starting the process over again and dealing with the prompts and AI generated voices again. These companies don't simplify things, they just make it harder.

Best is after staying on the line and having gone thru multiple menus…

You get kicked out either maybe a tad slow or somehow fat finger punch the wrong key- “sorry we are not getting a response from you, pls try again”😂

The worse for me is when you are asked to press one for etc,two for etc and the stupid system still says sorry we didn't recognise your response please try again on repeat. This post has however reminded me I need to make a post about exceptional customer...
