It's such a difficult situation for Hawaiians. No real type of industry other than tourism and I get that people get tired of "visitors" all the time.

 

It's a complex problem. It's like if a person lived anywhere USA, and had to take in borders in order to make their mortgage payments. So on the one hand you need them and on the other hand you get sick of people in your home. But there's no way out. And Hawaii is a "homeland" not just a place to live and visit. The roots are deep, and cultural.
