TimeOut

I have no disagreement with Pascal.

Many strive for consequence and fail. Others change the course of history without ever knowing. The moral evaluation of consequence is of course subjective and many go to the grave believing in the goodness of their actions. I merely refer to that which motivates many of us to engage in activities due to our belief that there is purpose for what we do and that is what motivates to continue. What gives me purpose today is my family and my activities to support it would never be characterised as work but I’m convinced that’s why I’m permitted to survive another day. Thanks for a thought provoking thread.
