LOL 16k. It clipped on the back of the unit with velcro.
The Commodore 64 was an obvious better choice.
I did get the chance to learn a little of how to write Basic with my Timex. Not that it ever jumpstarted my foray into computers -I held out until 1991 for a Mac IICI when the graphic design business was changing. The Timex came with 2k of memory vs. 1k with the ZX81.
