Can Plants See? How Do Vines Know Where to Go?
I have noticed over the last 2 weeks that this Trumpet Vine is expanding its territory across my right-of-way in my side yard. It has gone across and slightly downhill, directly towards another plant that it can attach to and strangle.
Here you can see another angle. The time taken to cross the walkway - less than 7 days.
The spikey plant was a bit closer but the vine didn't head there at all, it went directly down and across. The rest of the wall is blank so wouldn't have provided a purchase point.
I'm ready to chop it off but just wanted to let the community know that if you don't hear from me aga...
