Tag Heuer is becoming a fake Swiss brand...

That's what Patek's Thierry says, in essence, (not his exact words)...

I'm not trying to troll here... but I have always been turned off by TH's celebrity approach... often I have kind of like a TH entry level watch... then been turned off by the celebrity business...

Can anyone confirm or deny or help to inform us all if TH is taking the 'fake-Swiss' route, where watches that are less and less Swiss can be 'legally' called Swiss?

Is Thierry being 'a baby' in this cruel real world, or does he have a legitimate point, when he recently called a TH watch 'a joke'?

I find all of this very intriguing and somewhat soap-opera-ish... and I'd love to hear what our trusted moderators or the better-informed of us know or feel about all this 'Fake Swiss' business, as brands become more diluted (less Swiss) and cheaper and cheaper while still being called Swiss?

Dear Mostel, I do support your viewpoint. A number of brands practice this annoying trend to use ambassadors. For what purpose? I don't know, I rather think they dilute their brand image in the long-term. The photos above are nice to look at (attractive p...
