Daylight pictures and quick review of the TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Montreal Limited Edition ... phew that is a long name :-)!

As promised some nicer photos of my new Tag Heuer, a watch that I would have loved to own as a teenager, hence I bought it :
!
I certainly bought it also for its technical tidbits like the 80 h power reserve, inhouse movement, the vertical friction clutch that hinders the chrono hand to jump, the jumping (!) minute hand.
The view on the movement is showing a modular built as the balance wheel is quite deeply placed, BUT not the chrono mechanism is modular, that is still a classic integrated one with collum wheel and vertical clutch.
The modular build refers to the mainspring: it is sitting on top of the movement.
The reason being is that the mainspring can be removed from the movement without dismantling the whole movement.
Further, the only thing that is screwed is the chrono mainbridge, all other parts a only stacked or suspended.
The pushers are more than appropriate in terms of activation feel and not harsh at all.
The size of 39 mm is perfect!
The boxshaped saphire is not too high and the watch itself, albeit 14.7 mm high, not too thick at all.
The colours on the dial and hand are fantastic and enhaced by the true, plane white dial.
My teanage dream watch!
Cordially
