Very informative.
Without some of the commentary it might just look like another high precision production line.
But the text of the article helped to nicely explain the 'Seiko Philosophy', and how it comes through in their watches and production processes, and how perhaps it varies from more traditional 'European' processes.
I suspect though some might also be surprised at how similar some of the industrial production and micro-engineering processes for their more 'traditional' European watches actually are to those shown here.

it's Seiko's philosophy of watchmaking, as wonderfuly illustrated in this post, that realy appeals to my value set.

... Seiko doesn't say the "ranking" so precisely except that they categorize into three: Premium - Grand Seiko, Credor, Galante Men's - Brightz (Brights Ananta, Brights Phoenix), Prospex, Dolce, Mechanical Lady's - Seiko M, Lukia, Exceline, Tisse Others -...

Credor has more contemporary design while GS is strictly conservative. Prospex means "Professional Specification" or "Pro Specs". - SJX
