This is why reissues may work as replacement of the original watches. My very personal view!

The ownership of vintage watches do come with caveats and a common one is WR, or lack of. Respect it (just like not doing the school run in a Ferrari Dino) and you can enjoy them fully. Reissues just don't provide the same for me - I have a 1976 version o... 

Maybe some examples which are in better condition can endure it, but if one can't be 100% sure, let's better be cautious. Thanks for your comment. René

Perhaps if you need a “beater” then buy one of the reissues ! 😂
