Service question.
It’s been a little over 6 years since I took delivery of my SLA017 and I’m thinking of having it serviced as it isn’t keeping time as accurately as I’d like. The Miami boutique from which I ordered the watch referred me to the US service center in New Jersey; I was surprised I wasn’t directed to send the watch to Japan.
Any thoughts, opinions, and/or recommendations (good independent Seiko watchmaker?) would be appreciated.

You should ask the AD to send it to New Jersey on your behalf...
I don't see a reason for this to go to Japan for service.
I am sure there are many watchmakers that can service the Seiko 8L35
It has been used in the SBDX001 more than 20 years ago. Google search with keyword "SBDX001 movement service" or "8L35 movement service" should give you many reference to choose from. Regards, Indera
