If my crew were global I would say yes. For a brand with almost zero awareness, billboards in airports are a waste of money - neither efficient nor effective for engaging consumers.

I certainly would not focus on "lifestyle" but would want to tap the passion of the people who design and make the watches. Brand ambassadorship naturally flows from that passion. Think Porsche and their book "Excellence was Expected" as a long form way to capture passion for what you do. I would also hire a decent photographer who knew how to light a product like a watch. Frankly you find better amateur photographers on a number of watch forums than the people who did this shot.
