As it changes colour........

It's a leap of faith (often expensive) to purchase a watch without having seen it or trying it on....
This is particularly the case I find....the simpler and most stripped-away the watch dial becomes.
I was comfortable with everything I knew about the Credor in terms of its 39mm size, its Platinum case and its elegance.
What I was unsure of, was MEETING it...!?
You know how they say..."It's dangerous to meet your Heroes and discover the meeting destroys the 'Myth'"...?
Would the Credor ultimately induce 'boredom'?
Was it just too 'simple' and stripped back?
Does 'elegance' breed contempt?

Here is an 'undoctored' sequential series of photos (both indoors and out) of the Credor dial as I turn it under the same light.
The pearlescent and milky Porcelain Dial can turn to a brilliant white or even a shimmering coolness.

And congratulations on steeping out were few have goneā€¦What a wonderfully beautiful watch, I am ordering the one in platium with the blue dial. They are rare so Iā€™m not sure how long it will take but in my mind this watch is like buying a much less expens...

Congratulations Jim...

I agree with your comments. And when you compare what these uber-expensive independents bring to the party for their mega-dollar asking prices....is a useless torbillon, constant-force, fusee chain or resonance, intended to increase the accuracy of a gene...

:-) Halcro, I have some of those time only independant watches!

I guess itā€™s all relativeā€¦the Credor is exceptional for the price and why not have both if you can do it? Seiko is still a huge company so I like to spread the wealth around and help the little guyā€¦Jim

Hehehe.....

I have nothing against these uber-expensive time-only models from the Independents.....and find them highly entertaining šŸ˜ But let's stop pretending that they are created for any other reason than that they CAN.... because the money and market is now ther...

I do love the Independant watch world and own many of themā€¦

All the ones you nmentioned, chain and fusse, resonance, tourbillion etc, just the shear effort they put into doing something, that as you say, is just to do it and not really do so much about accuracy, is remarkable. My wife and I I just visited Kari Vou...

Top notch, congrats!

Eichi II

When I first saw the Eichi II I was awestruck . Yes the dial is simple but itā€™s one of the most elegant watches I had ever seen. Since they only make about 20 a year you wonā€™t see that many either. I decided on the gold version but I donā€™t think I would b...

20 per year of all THREE versions....

Which means possibly 6 or 7 of each individual model....? They normally quote a waiting list of 1 year for the Eichi II at the Grand Seiko Boutique.... but I got lucky and had mine in two months šŸŽ‰šŸŽšŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ Hope you also get lucky...
