Seiko Bell-Matic Marine-Layer Saturday, to be precise
At least in San Diego, the Santa Ana winds are gone and the Marine Layer is coming in, cool damp air off the ocean drifting ashore, and that will help dampen the fires.
Looking at all those brown roofs made me notice other brown objects in this neighborhood...
Such as this big Ford pickup with the "IF you want to sell this truck, please call me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx!
Then I saw the John Deere mailbox which gave me a laugh.

I then passed some orange trees

Spotted another big brown truck, known as BEEFY 1966 if I read the plate correctly.

The guy parked behind BEFE66 is more of a risk-taker than I am, having positioned his car a hands-width from BEFE66's back bumper.

More oranges in another yard. This location (and marine layer) must be optimum for citrus growing.

I passed by a patch of Palm Springs-style homes...

Then headed for home as my Bell-Matic quietly ticked away on my wrist. I have to admit I didn't pay attention to the alarm setting when I put it on my night stand yesterday, and it went off this morning at 6:45am when I was in the kitchen and Mrs C was asleep. Oops.
