Since the exact same thing happens every 12 months, the mechanics are set for that, and that’s it, with user intervention at the end of February only – seeing as it’s the only month with a variation every 4 years.

You need to
correct the date once a year, only at the end of Feb. Rest of the year it keeps track of month and date correctly,
You have to set it once in a year.
This is after February. It will keep track in all other months having 30 or 31 days. BTW, it is the same with all other ACs I know. Best, Volker

The inaccuracy does not add up in an annual calendar
I gather this is inquiry about? An annual calendar switches date like any other watch per day. The difference is that the annual calendar has got a programed wheel for the lenght of each month and hence how "long" the date change should be.
Sportster, it sounds like you are asking if the watch needs to be thrown away at a certain point?
